Religion is a holistic response of mankind to what he considers as his ultimate concern. Different views have been taken with regard to the relation of religion to morality and individual freedom.
‘Free will’ is said to be an important postulates of morality. Religion is traditionally related with faith and ever living God. Some contemporary philosopher analysts like Flew and J.L Mackie holds that God could have created this world and man with free will and yet could have fully determined his free will act that he might not have fallen into any moral lapses. But other view like of A.Platinga holds that no free act can be fully determined. Hence, God the creator could not have granted free will to man and at the same time could not have totally determined free acts so as to preclude his moral lapses.
    Religion and morality:
It is generally accepted that higher religion have remained inseparably related to morality. Religious tenets like satya, asteya, non-violence etc are also related to moral life or morality.
